South Korea's Food and Drug Administration announced Tuesday that it had received reports that a medicine called Viagra that was being sold under the brand name "Sildenafil" might be being sold in North Korea's south.
The Food and Drug Administration said the drug is a prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It has been approved for use in South Korea.

It was not immediately available in the news media. However, the FDA said it would not comment on the FDA-approved drug's results.
"South Korea has a high risk of a serious health problem for people with a history of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, or other cardiovascular problems," FDA spokeswoman Lyndsey Liang said in a statement.
She noted that the FDA has not made a final decision on whether the medicine is approved for use in South Korea.

Park's doctor also issued a warning, saying it could be dangerous to drive or operate machinery. "This could cause death if not for the medicine," the FDA said.
The FDA said that the medicine is not intended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
"People who are using this medicine for a prolonged period of time should be careful with its effects," it said.
Food and Drug Administration officials also told reporters that they were unsure if the medicine is being used for the treatment of the disease.
